Poor quality print - is process to blame? Art and photos graphic art?We Answered:
my experience,in the last step, for PDF files which causing poor printing quality, try to change a printer setting (that is, in the Print Dialogue window choose the Advance button. Near the top of the dialogue screen, tick the box "Print as Image"),
then print it again, see whether the printing quality will be improved.

How Important is a Degree in Graphic Design these Days??We Answered:
A Degree, any Degree is simply the magic key that opens doors - as you are finding out. With the experience you have and (probable) references that you will be given, you will have no problem obtaining a Degree in your chosen field with - accreditation of prior learning - If you can prove that you have the working experience that you say you have, then it counts as points towards a Degree. You could actually have earned yours already and may only need to attend classes for a short period of time.
You may be able to do it with the Open University (who do give accreditation for prior learning) that way you can still work and earn your Degree.
Remember, that piece of paper opens the right doors.

question about refilling inkjet cartridges with solvent based ink?We Answered:
Your printer uses both dye based and pigment (solvent) based ink. You can fill them with anything you like. Whether the printer will work is another matter.Print heads are designed for what type of ink the cartridges are supposed to contain.
If say the black was pigment and all the others dye then the printhead would be designed to work with that combination but if you put pigment ink in a dye based cartridge then the ink may be of the wrong consistence to pass through the printhead without risking causing a possible blockage or damage.
I have filled my Canon with dye based ink when I could not get pigment and that worked fine but that is not to say that yours will be.
If the printer prints on canvas then it is already set up to be suitable for the job with the combination of inks it uses, but you obviously have a reason for wanting to have all of them solvent based.
Its not a graphics art expert you need it's a printer expert. I would consult with such an expert before your refill with pigment - especially if you can't afford to lose your printer.

How to format album art for client to print? We Answered:
Change the print size (mm,cm,inch) print settings for the image. That way it will print the same size all the time.Save as a photoshop .ps because a lot of other image editors like Gimp and Paint Shop Pro can read that format. Also save a single layer rendering .bmp, .jpg ,.png at lowest compression.

Good printer for printing DVD cover art and disc printing? We Answered:
Afternoon,First, you can't print onto a standard silver disk. You would have to create labels that are printed and then put on the disk.
Also, a laser printer with color is going to be big time $$.
However, for printing both on printable CD/DVD's as well as making labels with color, I personally use an Epson Photo R300.
It comes with an adapter to print on DVD/CD however it still is only one at a time and is pretty slow.
